IIFA 2010 Awards Winner List And Photos
The 11th IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards presentation ceremony was held at Sughathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo, a capital city of Sri Lanka. The Micromax IIFA 2010 awards event was hosted by Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani. The movie 3 Idiots was the big winner of IIFA Awards night. Other big thing was that a tie between Kareena Kapoor (3 Idiots) and Vidya Balan (Paa) for the Best Actress Award trophy.
International Indian Film Academy jury was decided to give honor to Zeenat Aman for her Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema When J। Om Prakash for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian film. Anil Kapoor was presented with the Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Indian in International Cinema When The Green Globe Crusader of the Year presented an Award to Vivek Oberoi for his contribution towards the environment.

Ram Gopal Varma is now a big fan of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Famous Bollywood director, Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is now a big fan of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. How? Well, as you know that Aishwarya Bachchan worked in the sequel Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar, the director was very much impressed seeing her acting talent. Before seeing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ram Gopal Varma had the false notion that beautiful women can not act. Ram Gopal Varma was even skeptical about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s acting talent but after seeing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in front of the camera, the director was very much impressed.
Ram Gopal Varma said:
” When I first approached Aishwarya, I never thought of her as a good actress. Her beauty always came to the forefront, making it impossible for me to focus on her acting skills or other aspects. But she surprised me. There was one particular scene in Sarkar Raj with Amitabh Bachchan and she had to give retakes nine times because of some technical mistakes and every time she faced the camera, she behaved as though she was doing it for the first time. I have become a big fan of her’s ever since,” Well, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may be very beautiful but she is not the only actress impressed RGV. Earlier, he worked with Bollywood divas like Urmila Matondkar, Antara Mali and Nisha Kothari.

Farhan Akhtar proposes Deepika Padukone in the rain
Karthik Calling Karthik, which stars the unusual pair of Farhan Akhtar and gorgeous Deepika Padukone in the lead, also marks the debut of writer-director Vijay Lalwani।
Writing is Vijay Lalwani’s first love and so perfect is he at that, that the script of Karthik Calling Karthik was flawless, up until the climate forced him to alter a scene in the film. Yes you did read right, Vijay had to change just one part of the story due to weather!Speaking on the re-written scene Vijay explains, “We shot the entire film as per the script, expect one scene which I had to re-write. The scene was when Farhan Akhtar was to propose Deepika Padukone; it was a very integral part of the film.”Vijay continues, “I knew that I had to shoot that scene in a very grand way with loads of sunshine and it had to be an outdoor shot, but because it was June it was pouring… So, we thought to shoot the scene in October, but when we started shooting, it rained on that particular day so at the last moment we decided to shelve the plan and go ahead with the proposal in rain, that’s where I re-wrote the script.”Looks like Vijay has really drained himself while writing the script of Karthik Calling Karthik (no pun). Going by the buzz for the movie it seems as a favorite among the youth who are eagerly awaiting its release on 26th February 2010.
